Vandal Savage is an immortal villain from the DC Universe who is bent on conquering the world. Vandal Savage, born Vandar Adg, was the prehistoric leader of Blood Tribe over 50,000 years ago when a mysterious meteor crashed to Earth. His compatriots fled the scene, fearing that the stars were falling from the sky, while Vandar embraced the radioactive warmth the meteor emitted. When he awoke the next morning, Vandar had become Vandal Savage- a hyper intelligent immortal that made a name for himself by destroying the lost city of Atlantis.

The origin page on the DC Wiki suggests that Vandal Savage has operated, throughout history, under such names as: Khafre, Alexander The Great, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, and Vlad the Impaler. He is also the inspiration for the Biblical story of Cain & Abel, having committed the first murder known to man.

In contemporary comics, Vandal Savage's plans for domination are most often met with opposition from The Justice League and, specifically, The Flash.
